The Ground Under My Feet

They say nothing is solid; that there is only space between energy particles that appear and disappear between parallel universes; and that only magnetic charges keep us from becoming a huge ball of undifferentiated something. Quite an idea! An image that makes me feeling like glass and wondering how come I have not disappeared yet.

Standing by the ancient potholes formations at Shellburne Falls, carved in lava and rock by sea currents when the area was under water millions of years ago, a year feels to me a short second. I find there is something deeply wise about deities made of stone. Generations come and go and there is still the Sphinx, the Parthenon, the Venus of Willendorf, the Mayan Gods and countless Goddesses of Fertility. There are ages old but have changed very little remaining enduring images of the Sacred and Timelessness.

Timeless Gods and Goddess of Stone. How old is the land under my feet? Sometimes the Informing and Formed seem to be at odds, yet they are inseparable. Isn’t the Earth Heart made of rock?
